Today marks the 9th day of the Hebrew month of Av, when we remember the destruction of both the 1st and 2nd Temples in Jerusalem. Marked by fasting, it’s a day that many in the Jewish community take time to reflect on their own lives and focus on wishes to heal the world at large by ending strife and war, sadness and illness, locally, around the world, and in Israel.

Tomorrow we will fly to Israel as a group, but we shall return as a family. During our three week seminar, we will challenge ourselves by connecting to our roots, learning about our heritage, and being open to new experiences. We will form a partnership with our Israeli peers and together help to - little by little - make this world a better place.

We are excited to have this life changing experience with you all. Buckle up!

Truly yours,
Gabi, Ethan, and Katherine
