In our wonderfully fun and engaging Diller workshop
today, we started it off, as always, with a chance to unload whatever is
bugging us and what we are excited about through oy's and joy's. After
listening to our fellow Dillers, we split off into our separate groups for the
self-run, self-made Shabbaton that's coming up. This gave us a chance to
communicate in person and brainstorm more ideas as well as allowing us to give
critique and possible suggestions/improvements.
While we were discussing our
programs, a catering company by the name of Lchaim Foods rolled in and set up
four tables with bamboo mats, cutting boards, salmon, tuna, seaweed, and every
other possible delectable food that goes into the making of sushi.
Needless to
say, it was an amazingly delicious, mouth-watering lunch wherein we made our
very own sushi and listened to the CEO of Lchaim Foods, Rabbi Alex, share about what he had
to do to create a Kosher sushi catering company. After we filled our bellies with
delicious kosher home-made sushi, we Whooshed The speaker/CEO and adjourned our
amazing workshop with a word whip. This past workshop was by far one of the most
engaging and fun workshops for all of us. We can't wait for the upcoming workshops!
